The Member of Parliament for the South Dayi constituency Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor has accused government of destroying the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund).
In a tweet today, April 3, he said government used GETfund receivables as collateral for huge monies it borrowed.
According to him, on December 31, 2021 government took GHC1.21 billion and remitted only GHC350 million to the GETfund for its 2021 programme.
He added that an amount of GHC810 million was used by government to service the US$1.5 billion it took.
