The Ghana Police Service has issued a warning to criminals and their accomplices in the country.
The Police say although they can run they can never hide.
This is contained in a press release signed by Supt. Alexander Kwaku Obeng to confirm the arrest of six suspected armed robbers in the Greater Accra and Central Regions.
“All criminals and their cohorts must advise themselves and know that they can run but they can never hide. The Police will do whatever it takes to come after them and bring them to justice,” parts of the Police release dated Monday, April 18, 2022, have cautioned.
The six robbery suspects arrested in the Greater Accra and Central Regions include Jibrila Musa alias Danturi, Hussain Sampa, Daniel Acquah, Anthony Sackey, Michael Ojo, and Ade Banjor.
They were arrested through a targeted intelligence-led operation between the period of April 15 and April 17, 2022, in connection with a series of robberies including carjacking.
According to the Police, some of the items retrieved from the suspects include one (1) locally manufactured gun, one (1) foreign pistol, a cache of ammunition, two iPhones, and four (4) wristwatches.
Meanwhile, one stolen vehicle has also been retrieved.
The suspects per the Police release have admitted during interrogations to their involvement in robberies over the years and are helping the Police in investigations.
