What happens if stakeholders reject Cabinet decision? — Dafeamekpor quizzes gov’t for not engaging them first

The Member of Parliament for South Dayi Constituency, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor has questioned why government took a decision on new economic measures before consulting stakeholders.

In a tweet on Monday March 21, 2022 he asked what would happen should stakeholders reject the decision taken by cabinet at its first quarterly retreat.

His question came a few minutes after the Ministry of Information announced that the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta would give us details on the new economic measures taken this week after some key economic stakeholders are consulted.

The new economic measures were decided during Cabinet’s three-day retreat which started from March 17 to March 20 at Peduase Lodge in Aburi in the Eastern Region.
